Mr. Marks is a founding member of Marks & Williams, LLC. Mr. Marks obtained his B.A. in Polical Science from the University of Florida in 1978, and his J.D. (with honors) from the University of Florida in 1981, where he served on the Board of Editors of the University of Florida Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Team. After practicing for two years in the corporate department at Kilpatrick & Cody, Mr. Marks took a position as an associate attorney with Scoggins, Ivey, Goodman & Weiss. At that firm, he represented commercial real estate developers in all phases of the acquisition, financing, leasing, management and sale of real estate, as well as lending institutions. He also represented commercial landlords in connection with lease negotiations for office, retain and industrial space.
Mr. Marks opend his own practice in March, 1989, and as a solo practioner represented local office, industrial and residential developers, as well as national companies with real estate interests in the Atlanta area. His practice continued to include office, retain and industrial leasing, for landlords and tenants, as well as joint venture and partnership matters for clients.
In 1997, Mr. Marks joined with James J. Williams, Jr. to form Marks & Williams, LLC.
